Forgeway, leading industrial adhesive, sealant and coating manufacturer, attended the Euro Bus Expo 2016 from the 1 – 3 November at the NEC in Birmingham, complete with lego style bus conceived by Colour & Thing.
Following our standout rebrand for them in May, using the periodic table to deliver an innovative identification system to guide users, the manufacturer needed an innovative and eye-catching exhibition space to match.
Not content with showcasing their products quietly, we created Forgeway a bus made entirely of their new outer packaging. The giant lego-style double decker is built from their colour-coded product boxes and tubes – each referencing a different Forgeway range and its application in vehicle manufacture.
Along with the box-built bus, Forgeway handed out ‘instruction manuals’ with the aim of picking up business from industry professionals from operators and suppliers to local authorities and community transport organisations.
Rod Buckley, managing director at Forgeway, explained the ‘route’:
“Our products are used all over the world and across a wide range of industries, including the manufacture of buses, trams and other mass transport. Building a bus made of our ‘products’ is a solution allowing us to show many of our products at once, and I’m sure it will turn a few heads and start some useful conversations. That’s the first step in forming lasting relationships, the sort of relationships we’ve built our business on.”
