Creating a hero student brand for the USA.

Reinventing student America’s longest established online book buyer and seller, we masterminded the transition from a characterless e-commerce site into a real contender in a competitive multi-million dollar market.

Armed with ingenuity and a little bravery, we set about redesigning the business from the ground up. We transformed them from a tired website into a savvy, socially relevant digital retail brand. They needed some swagger and personality, and resonance with American students. Inspired by college football, we developed a bespoke typographic style, colour palette, and web page designs, adding a pinch of attitude and some fun to the user experience.

The brand also needed a hero. Indulging the US sports aesthetic, we conceived Rush the Rabbit – the personification of swift service for the tech savvy, online consumer generation. We utilised 3D modelling technology to ensure that this stand-out mascot could come to life everywhere.

They raised our game with a really creative, ambitious new brand which was more in tune with our student market.
